Description

Rabbit Samurai is a skill-based platform game where you use a grappling hook to swing through compact levels, collect carrots and crystals, avoid spikes, and rescue mice trapped inside cages. The controls are intentionally simple, but good timing matters because holding the rope too long can pull the rabbit straight into a hazard or past the place you meant to reach.

About Rabbit Samurai

The rabbit’s mission is to enter the wolf’s territory and rescue small mice while collecting carrots and hidden crystals along the way. You move mainly by firing a rope toward nearby surfaces and allowing the grappling hook to pull the character through the level.

One mistake that becomes obvious quickly is holding the grapple until the rabbit reaches the attachment point. Releasing earlier can preserve momentum and give you a cleaner route around spikes.

Latest Rabbit Samurai Update

Poki currently lists June 2021 as both its release month and latest update on that platform.

Other preserved versions of Rabbit Samurai show that the game existed earlier on browser platforms, but the June 2021 date specifically refers to the current Poki listing.

Rabbit Samurai Characters

The main character is a small rabbit dressed as a samurai who uses a grappling hook rather than normal platform-game movement.

The mice are the characters you need to rescue. Breaking or reaching their cages frees them, after which you still need to reach the exit safely to complete the stage.

Rabbit Samurai Gameplay

Each level combines movement, collecting, and rescue objectives. Fire the hook toward a surface, hold it to pull the rabbit closer, and release when the angle is right.

Along the route, you can collect carrots and crystals while avoiding spikes and other dangerous parts of the level. Rocket-style ninja cannons can also launch the rabbit into another section.

Controls

  • Left Mouse Button: Tap or hold to use the grappling hook
  • Touch: Tap and hold on supported mobile devices
  • WERSDF: Some browser versions also support directional grappling keys

The current Poki version focuses on mouse or touch controls.

For technical background, the MDN Pointer Events guide explains how browser games can respond to mouse and touchscreen input through a common system.

Rabbit Samurai Grappling Hook And Movement

The grappling hook is the game’s main movement tool. Instead of walking normally through every section, you attach the rope to nearby surfaces and use its pull to move through the maze.

The useful skill is learning when to release. A shorter grapple can position the rabbit carefully, while holding longer creates a stronger pull toward the attachment point.

The W3C Pointer Events specification provides more detail on the browser input standards that allow click-and-hold and touch interactions to work across different devices.

Rabbit Samurai Carrots And Crystals

Carrots are placed throughout the stages as optional collectibles, while hidden crystals reward players who search beyond the easiest route.

Trying to collect everything immediately can make a level harder than necessary. It is often easier to learn the safe route first and then replay the stage for collectibles.

Rabbit Samurai Mice And Levels

Rabbit Samurai contains 12 levels, with each stage asking you to rescue trapped animals and reach the exit.

Later stages make grappling more demanding by placing collectibles and cages close to spikes or in awkward positions.

There is no large upgrade system. Progress comes from completing stages, rescuing mice, and improving how accurately you use the rope.

Who Created Rabbit Samurai?

Rabbit Samurai was created by Mini Duck Games. Poki’s structured developer field lists IP Eliseenko Maksim Andreevich, while its game description credits Mini Duck Games as the creator.

Mini Duck Games is also associated with several other casual browser titles, particularly skill, puzzle, sports, and platform games.

Platforms

Rabbit Samurai supports:

  • Desktop
  • Phone
  • Tablet

Because the primary action only requires pointing, clicking, or touching, the same gameplay idea transfers easily between mouse and touchscreen devices. The MDN guide to using Pointer Events explains how web applications can support these different input methods.

Games Like Rabbit Samurai

Players who enjoy Rabbit Samurai will usually prefer skill and platform games where one unusual movement mechanic drives most of the challenge.

Rabbit Samurai 2 is the closest follow-up. It keeps the grappling-hook movement while adding another rescue objective involving lost bees, carrots, and hidden diamonds.

Other Mini Duck Games titles use different mechanics but keep the same easy-to-learn browser-game style.

About This Game

Rabbit Samurai works because almost the entire game is built around one movement tool.

You do not need a long list of buttons, equipment, or character statistics. Most improvement comes from understanding rope length, release timing, momentum, and the safest route through each level.

That makes it easy to start while still giving players a reason to replay stages for missed carrots, crystals, or rescues.

Mini Duck Games is also associated with Rabbit Samurai 2, Doctor Teeth, Doctor Teeth 2, Penalty Superstar, Street Ball Jam, Icy Purple Head 2, Graffiti Time, and Boss Level Shootout.

Rabbit Samurai 2 is the most direct next game because it keeps the grappling movement while introducing new collectibles and another set of stages.
