Wheel of Names

Wheel of Names is a free, browser based spinning wheel that picks one random entry from a list you type or paste. Teachers use it to call on students, streamers use it for giveaways and friends use it to settle small arguments in seconds.

About Wheel Of Names

It runs at wheelofnames.com, so there is no APK to sideload. On Android you open the site in Chrome and add it to your home screen, which gives you an app style icon that opens the wheel in one tap.

In short, Wheel of Names turns a list into a fair, visible spin. The download button on this page opens the official wheelofnames.com website, so you always reach a trusted source.

Who It Is For

Teachers, event hosts, streamers, office teams and families who want a fair, visible pick that everyone can watch happen.

Popular Ways To Use It

• Calling on students during a lesson
• Picking a giveaway winner live on stream
• Choosing who presents first in a meeting
• Settling a family movie night vote

Wheel Of Names Features

• Paste any list: Drop in names, prizes or tasks, one per line, and the wheel builds itself instantly.
• Secure randomness: The site states it drives the spin with the browser’s cryptographic random function instead of the basic one.
• Google Sheets import: Pull a list straight from a linked Google spreadsheet, handy for form based raffles.
• Custom look: Change colors, add images, pick a spin time and set the winner message.
• Remove the winner: Take the picked name off the wheel so the same person is not chosen twice.
• Save and share: Keep wheels for later and share a link so others can spin the same list.

What To Check Before You Use It

• Developer name matches the official source shown on this page.
• Permissions are minimal. A wheel spinner should not ask for contacts, SMS, call logs or your exact location.
• The privacy policy is easy to find from the store listing or website.
• The app or site was updated recently and has genuine user reviews.
• Any in-app purchases are clearly labelled before you pay.

If you want to see how that kind of randomness works, MDN documents the crypto.getRandomValues() method that modern browsers provide.

Privacy And Data Policy

Wheel spinners only need the entries you type. Avoid adding full names with surnames, phone numbers or other personal details, especially for students or children. Read the privacy policy on the official wheelofnames.com website to see how your wheels are stored and whether ads use tracking.
