Poor Bunny

Poor Bunny is a fast arcade platform game where you control a small bunny, collect carrots and try to keep your run going as the arena becomes increasingly crowded with moving obstacles. The controls are minimal, but survival depends on reading the whole screen instead of focusing only on the next carrot. I find staying near an open escape route more useful than chasing every collectible immediately.

About Poor Bunny

Poor Bunny is built around short survival runs rather than traditional levels.

You move across platforms collecting carrots while new obstacles appear around the arena. The longer you survive, the busier the screen becomes, making movement and positioning increasingly important.

Latest Poor Bunny Update

The current browser edition lists February 2026 as its latest update after a March 2023 release.

The official Android edition was also updated on February 22, 2026. That update included fixes for a results-screen crash and a trophy-button issue.

Poor Bunny Characters

Poor Bunny includes more than 100 unlockable bunnies.

Collecting carrots gradually gives you access to additional character designs. These unlocks mostly provide visual variety, so success still depends on movement and awareness rather than choosing a stronger character.

Poor Bunny Gameplay

The objective is simple: collect carrots while staying in play for as long as possible.

I find it useful to keep moving without committing to one side of the arena for too long. When several obstacles appear together, having room to change direction can be more valuable than reaching one extra carrot.

Controls

  • WASD: Player 1 movement
  • Arrow Keys: Player 2 movement
  • Touch Controls: Used on supported phones and tablets

The current browser edition supports desktop, phone and tablet play.

The MDN KeyboardEvent documentation provides useful technical background on how browser games recognize keyboard input.

Poor Bunny Carrots

Normal carrots are the main collectible.

Picking them up improves your score and contributes toward unlocking additional bunny characters.

Because carrots appear around different parts of the arena, they also encourage you to keep moving rather than remaining in one safe corner.

Golden Carrot

A golden carrot occasionally appears and is worth the equivalent of five normal carrots.

It is a valuable bonus, but I would not cross a crowded arena simply because it appears. A safe approach is usually more useful than ending a strong run for one collectible.

Single Player Mode

Single Player lets you concentrate entirely on survival and high scores.

This is the easiest mode for learning how quickly the arena changes and how your bunny responds to movement.

It also gives you a clearer idea of which positions tend to leave enough room for the next obstacle.

Poor Bunny Co-op Mode

Co-op allows two players to share the same arena and work together.

Both players try to keep the run going while collecting carrots and avoiding the changing obstacles.

The separate WASD and arrow-key layouts make local shared-keyboard play straightforward.

For another local multiplayer game with simple controls, Get On Top uses physics and balance instead of platform survival.

Poor Bunny Versus Mode

Versus Mode turns carrot collecting into a local competition.

Two players share the same arena and try to collect more carrots than the other player while continuing to react to the environment.

This mode changes the decision-making slightly because the nearest carrot may also be the one your opponent is trying to reach.

Poor Bunny High Scores

Poor Bunny is designed as a high-score chaser rather than a level-by-level campaign.

Each attempt gives you another chance to survive longer, collect more carrots and improve your previous result.

The official mobile edition also includes trophy and high-score features for tracking performance over time.

Poor Bunny Strategy

Try to look at the whole arena instead of following only your bunny.

Keeping an open path on at least one side gives you more options when the screen becomes crowded.

I also avoid making unnecessary direction changes. Smooth movement is easier to control than repeatedly crossing back and forth for every carrot.

About This Game

Poor Bunny works best for players who enjoy simple controls with increasingly demanding survival gameplay.

Its strongest feature is how quickly the arena changes. Collecting carrots is easy to understand, but maintaining enough space to react becomes progressively harder as each run continues.
