Zoom is a video meeting app used for work calls, online classes and family get-togethers. You can join a meeting with a link or meeting ID in a couple of taps, or host your own and invite others.

In meetings you can share your screen, use virtual backgrounds, chat, raise your hand and react. The free plan covers most needs, with time limits on longer group meetings. Team Chat and Whiteboard are part of the same app.

Things To Know Before You Install

• You can join a meeting without an account. Hosting needs a free or paid account.
• Wi-Fi gives a more stable call and saves mobile data.
• Check your microphone and camera permissions in Android settings if others cannot hear or see you.
• Free accounts have a time limit on meetings with three or more people.

Where The Download Comes From

Zoom is distributed through Google Play only, so the download button opens the official Google Play page. That is the safe way to get it: you get the real app, signed by the developer, and it updates by itself. Be careful with copies on other sites that call themselves “mod” or “premium” versions, as those are changed files.
