Drive Mad

Drive Mad is a physics-based driving game where reaching the finish line matters more than simply going fast. Every level changes the vehicle, terrain or obstacle setup, so acceleration and braking become tools for controlling balance as much as speed. The mistake I would avoid is holding forward through every jump. Short taps often give you much better control over how the vehicle lands.

About Drive Mad

Drive Mad asks you to guide unusual vehicles across obstacle-filled tracks without flipping or breaking them.

Acceleration tilts the vehicle one way while braking or reversing can shift its balance the other way. Once that becomes familiar, jumps stop being purely about speed and start becoming small physics puzzles.

Latest Drive Mad Update

The current Poki edition lists June 2026 as its latest update, following its July 2022 release on that platform.

The present Poki version contains 250 levels across three worlds, along with Gold Time targets and additional trophies for specific challenges.

Drive Mad Cars

Drive Mad regularly changes the vehicle you control.

Some stages use conventional cars, while others alter wheel size, proportions or vehicle behaviour enough to make familiar obstacles feel completely different.

That variety is important because a technique that works with one vehicle may become unreliable in the next level.

Drive Mad Gameplay

Each stage gives you a short route and a finish point.

The challenge is keeping the vehicle stable while crossing ramps, gaps, bridges and unusual terrain. I find it much easier to use several short inputs near difficult sections instead of holding one direction continuously.

Controls

Desktop:

  • Right Arrow: Drive forward
  • Left Arrow: Brake or reverse

Alternative versions also recognize keys such as W, D, X or Up Arrow for forward movement and S, A, Z or Down Arrow for reverse.

Mobile:

  • Tap and hold the on-screen arrows to move forward or backward.

The MDN KeyboardEvent documentation provides technical background on keyboard input in browser-based games.

Drive Mad Physics

Physics are the main mechanic rather than a background effect.

Accelerating can tilt the car backward, while braking or reversing shifts its weight forward. That means the same two controls used for movement can help adjust the vehicle during slopes and jumps.

A small correction before landing is often more useful than trying to fix the vehicle after it has already tipped too far.

Drive Mad Levels

The current Poki version contains 250 levels divided across three worlds.

Classic World

The Classic world contains 200 levels and forms the main progression path.

Early stages teach basic balance and timing before later courses introduce more complicated vehicles and obstacle combinations.

Winter World

The Winter world contains 25 snowy levels.

The visual theme changes while the core challenge remains focused on controlling momentum and landing safely.

Monster Truck World

The Monster Truck world adds another 25 levels using a vehicle with much larger wheels.

The changed proportions make familiar ramps and platforms behave differently.

Drive Mad Gold Time

Many levels include a Gold Time challenge.

A golden timer counts down while you play. Reaching the finish before it expires earns the gold result for that stage.

I would learn the level safely first before chasing the faster target. Knowing where you normally lose momentum makes a Gold Time attempt much easier to plan.

Drive Mad Trophies

Some stages include extra trophy objectives.

One example mentioned by the current version involves completing an early level while balancing the vehicle in a particular way. These optional goals give experienced players something to attempt after simply finishing the stages.

Drive Mad Difficulty

The first group of stages gradually teaches acceleration, braking and landing control.

Difficulty increases once the game begins combining stranger vehicles with tighter obstacles. Later stages leave less room for correcting a poor landing before reaching the next obstacle.

For another physics-focused game where balance matters more than complicated controls, Get On Top uses local character competition instead of vehicles.

Drive Mad Community Levels

Drive Mad originally grew from ideas created through the wider Fancade platform.

The official Drive Mad site also features variations created by other Fancade users, extending the basic driving concept beyond the main collection.

Fancade itself includes tools that let creators build and publish their own small games.

Who Created Drive Mad?

Drive Mad was created by Martin Magni and is part of the Fancade game collection.

Fancade states that Drive Mad has been played hundreds of millions of times since its original release, while the game later expanded into standalone browser and mobile versions.

App And Platforms

The current Poki edition supports desktop, phone and tablet.

Drive Mad is also connected to Fancade’s web and mobile ecosystem. The official Fancade web documentation explains how Fancade games can be opened directly through its browser platform.

Games Like Drive Mad

Monster Tracks is one of the closest comparisons because it also focuses on maintaining balance across difficult terrain. Fancade’s documentation notes that Drive Mad helped provide the basis for Monster Tracks.

For another driving game with a more open environment, Crazy Bikes focuses on Trial Park exploration, races and collectibles.

Players who want competitive platform rounds instead of vehicle physics can also try Blumgi Paintball.

About This Game

Drive Mad works best for players who enjoy short levels where retrying immediately is part of learning.

Its strongest feature is how much variety comes from only two main inputs. Acceleration and reverse control movement, but they also influence vehicle angle, jumps and landings.

That simplicity makes mistakes easy to understand even when individual stages become difficult.

There is almost nothing to configure before starting. Use forward and reverse carefully, pay attention to how each vehicle responds to momentum and prioritize a stable landing before worrying about speed.
