Duck Life
Duck Life is a training and racing simulation game where you raise a young duck, improve its running, flying, and swimming skills, then enter races to earn money and rebuild a farm damaged by a storm. Coins from training and races can be spent on seeds, colors, and hats. The game looks simple, but training only one skill usually leaves the duck poorly prepared for races that test several abilities.

About Duck Life
The story begins after a storm destroys your farm, leaving a duck egg behind. You raise the duckling and train it so it can compete in races and earn enough prize money to restore the farm.
The official Wix Games website still lists Duck Life 1 alongside the studio’s newer games and describes its basic goal as training a duckling before entering races.
A useful mistake to avoid is concentrating on only the easiest training game. Balanced running, swimming, and flying skills matter more once races begin testing the duck across different terrain.
Latest Duck Life Update
The current browser edition lists November 2020 as its latest update, with its Poki release dating to March 2019.
The original Duck Life belongs to the Flash era. Wix Games has since preserved the early series through newer releases such as Duck Life 1-3: Retro Pack, allowing the original games to remain part of the studio’s current catalogue.
Duck Life Character
The central character is the duckling you train throughout the game.
You can change its appearance with different colors and hats, but these cosmetic choices are secondary to improving its racing abilities. Feeding the duck seeds is also important because energy is required before entering races.
Duck Life Gameplay
Most of the game alternates between training mini-games and races.
Training raises individual skills and can provide coins. Once your duck has improved enough, you can enter races against other ducks and earn prize money for winning.
Controls

Duck Life Training And Skills
There are three main skills to improve: running, flying, and swimming.
Each skill has its own training activity, so improvement comes from repeatedly practising the relevant mini-game. A duck that performs well in one discipline can still struggle in a mixed race if the other skills have been ignored.
This training system became one of the defining ideas of the wider Duck Life series.
Duck Life Coins And Seeds
Coins can be earned during training or through racing.
They can be spent on seeds that increase your duck’s energy, as well as cosmetic items such as hats and new colors.
It is worth checking energy before entering an important race rather than spending every coin on appearance items.
Duck Life Races And Progression
Training prepares your duck for races against other competitors.
Winning produces prize money that can be reinvested into food and customization while moving you closer to the game’s larger goal of rebuilding the farm.
Progress therefore follows a clear loop: train, earn coins, feed the duck, race, improve, and race again.
Who Created Duck Life?
Duck Life was created by Wix Games, a UK-based independent game studio.
In a developer FAQ, Wix Games explained that it began making Flash games in 2008 and released its first popular Duck Life game about a year later. The studio says the first four Flash-era Duck Life games eventually accumulated more than one billion combined plays. Wix Games’ developer background on Steam provides that history directly from the team.
Platforms
The current browser version supports:
- Desktop
- Phone
- Tablet
The original game was made with Flash before being converted to Unity WebGL for modern desktop browser play.
For players interested in the preserved early games, Duck Life: Retro Pack on Steam contains revamped versions of the first three games with higher-resolution graphics and smoother performance.
Games Like Duck Life
Players who enjoy Duck Life will usually prefer games that mix short training activities with gradual character improvement and racing.
The closest choices are naturally Duck Life 2, Duck Life 3, Duck Life 4, and later entries such as Duck Life Adventure. Each keeps the idea of improving a duck while adding more skills, locations, or progression systems.
About This Game
Duck Life works because almost every training session produces a visible improvement.
There are no complicated menus or large equipment systems. You train three skills, maintain energy, earn coins, and decide when your duck is ready for a race.
That straightforward progression is also why the original remains easy to understand many years after its Flash-era release.
