The Real Way To Become Hard To Kill

Pets and wild animals have three levels. Every fight your pet wins pushes it toward the next level, and a higher level pet is bigger, stronger and faster. A tamer walking around with fully leveled pets is a nightmare for other players.

The Shield command is the next piece. Press it and your pet stays close and guards you. When you are chopping trees or mining rocks with your back turned, a guarding pet stops most sneak attacks. Some pets also have abilities that heal over time, stun enemies or push them back, which work like a defensive shield of their own.

Every Pet Command And What It Does

• Shield Button: your pet guards you
• Sword Button: your pet attacks any animal it sees, except sleeping babies
• Hand Button: your pet stops and holds its spot
• Skill Button: your pet uses its special ability
• Right Mouse Button (Hold): send one pet to a spot

Taming only works on sleeping baby animals. Walk up and press the paw button, and the game rolls the chance for that species. Rare animals are harder. A slingshot or an appletor improves your chances, so carry one before you go looking for something special. Clear awake animals around the sleeping baby first, so a fight does not interrupt your attempt.

Type Matchups That Act Like Armor

Each animal has a magical type, and types beat or lose to each other. The official guide uses the example that a Wolf beats a Rabbit but loses to a Bear. Abilities link to types such as Fire, Plant, Water and Electricity.

Trees, rocks and animals give resources, and resources let you place items. Windmills create gold over time, and gold is your score. Gold also buys hats and wings in the shop, and each one gives a useful effect for the rest of the session. An age bar fills as you gather and win fights, opening up new crafts and weapons.

Golden Apples And Starting With Strong Pets

Golden apples come from chests, daily claims, challenges, achievements and weekly clan competitions. They unlock cosmetics, pet cards and alchemy flasks. In the Tamodex you choose which pets you spawn with. Collect 50 cards of a pet to unlock it, and 100 or 150 cards to spawn with two or three of that pet. Taming.io is an HTML5 game, so it runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and on Chromebooks without installing anything. Flash games stopped working after December 31, 2020, and this one never needed Flash.
