G Switch 3
G Switch 3 is a fast gravity-running platform game from Serius Games where one click or key press flips your runner between floors and ceilings. Complete three checkpoint-filled campaign levels, collect 12 secret orbs, try Clone and Endless modes, and compete with up to eight players locally.
G Switch 3
G Switch 3 is a gravity-switching platform game from Serius Games where your runner moves automatically and a single button flips them between floors and ceilings. The controls are minimal, but the courses quickly become demanding because platforms, gaps and obstacles appear in rapid succession. I find switching slightly before reaching an obstacle more reliable than waiting until the character is directly beside it.

About G Switch 3
G Switch 3 is the third main game in the G-Switch series.
Your character runs automatically, and you control when gravity reverses. One switch can move the runner from the floor to the ceiling or back again, letting you avoid gaps and other obstacles without traditional jumping controls.
Latest G Switch 3 Update
The original browser release appeared on November 23, 2016, with Kongregate recording its last update on December 15, 2016.
The later Poki edition lists a March 2019 release and February 2021 as its latest update. As of September 2026, that version carries a 4.4 rating from roughly 1.9 million votes.
G Switch 3 Gameplay
The runner moves forward automatically through fast side-scrolling courses.
Your only main decision is when to reverse gravity. A well-timed switch sends the character onto another surface, while a poorly timed one can leave the runner with no safe route.
Controls
- Any Keyboard Key: Switch gravity
- Left Mouse Button: Switch gravity
- Touch: Switch gravity on supported devices
The single-input control system is confirmed by both Poki and the original Kongregate release.
The MDN KeyboardEvent documentation provides useful technical background on keyboard input in browser games.
G Switch 3 Gravity Switching
Gravity switching is the central mechanic.
Instead of manually jumping over an obstacle, you reverse gravity and continue running along another surface. Floors can become ceilings, and ceilings can become the next safe route.
I find watching the upcoming platform rather than the runner itself makes the timing easier to judge.
G Switch 3 Campaign
The single-player campaign contains 3 main levels with 10 checkpoints each, giving a total of 30 checkpoint sections.
Each level combines the same one-button mechanic with increasingly complicated arrangements of platforms and hazards.
G Switch 3 Checkpoints
Checkpoints divide the campaign into manageable sections.
Reaching one means a failed attempt does not always send you back through the entire level. With ten checkpoints in each of the three campaign stages, progress is broken into shorter challenges.
Clone Mode
G Switch 3 introduced a Clone Mode where you control two characters at the same time.
A single gravity switch affects both runners, so you have to watch two positions and choose a moment that works for each. Kongregate highlighted Clone Mode as one of the major additions when the third game launched.
Secret Orbs
There are 12 secret orbs hidden throughout G Switch 3.
Collecting them contributes toward unlocking additional characters. The official Serius Games page confirms the total of 12 collectibles.
I would concentrate on completing the route first, then replay sections for missed orbs once the timing feels familiar.
Endless Mode
Endless Mode removes the fixed campaign finish and challenges you to survive for as long as possible.
Your objective becomes improving your previous distance or score rather than reaching the end of a designed level. The official mobile listing specifically includes a high-score Endless Mode.
G Switch 3 Multiplayer
The original web version supports local multiplayer for up to eight players around one keyboard.
Players can also compete against computer-controlled opponents. Poki notes that multiplayer can include real players or AI runners.
The mobile edition is slightly different, supporting local tournaments for up to four players on one device.
Multiplayer Power-Ups
G Switch 3 added multiplayer power-ups compared with the earlier games.
These create extra variation during local competitions and were specifically mentioned among the new features of the 2016 release.
G Switch 3 Strategy
Switch slightly before reaching an obstacle.
Waiting until the character is directly underneath or beside a dangerous section often leaves too little time for the gravity change to take effect. Poki gives the same basic advice in its current tips.
I also find it useful to learn a difficult section as a rhythm. Once several switches occur at predictable intervals, repeating the pattern becomes easier than treating every obstacle as a separate reaction.
For another physics-focused browser challenge, Get On Top uses balance rather than gravity switching.
G Switch 3 Characters
G Switch 3 expanded the character selection compared with earlier entries.
Some additional characters are connected to collecting the 12 secret orbs, giving campaign exploration a purpose beyond simply reaching the final checkpoint.
G-Switch Series
The main series includes:
- G-Switch
- G-Switch 2
- G Switch 3
- G-Switch 4
Serius Games currently lists these alongside its other arcade titles, and G-Switch 4 continues the gravity-running concept with newer creation features.
Who Created G Switch 3?
G Switch 3 was created by Serius Games, a developer based in Portugal. Poki credits Serius Games directly, while the original Kongregate publication appeared under developer Vasco_F, referring to creator Vasco Freitas.
The official Serius Games G Switch 3 page confirms the campaign structure, collectible orbs and local multiplayer features.
App And Platforms
The current browser edition supports:
- Desktop
- Phone
- Tablet
An official mobile edition is also available. Google Play currently shows 5 million+ downloads, while Apple’s App Store lists support for iPhone and iPad.
Games Like G Switch 3
Serius Games has several related titles:
- G-Switch
- G-Switch 2
- G-Switch 4
- Freeway Fury
- Freeway Fury 2
- Freeway Fury 3
Poki currently lists these together under the Serius Games catalogue.
For a different arcade challenge from the same developer family, Freeway Fury 3 uses fast vehicle-based gameplay instead of gravity-running stages.
For another browser game where timing and physics matter, Get On Top offers short balance-focused rounds.
About This Game
G Switch 3 works because nearly the entire game is controlled with one action.
You do not need separate buttons for jumping, crouching or climbing. Instead, every obstacle asks the same question: when should gravity change?
Campaign checkpoints, Clone Mode, secret orbs, Endless Mode and multiplayer give that single mechanic enough variety to support repeated play.
