Infiltrating the Airship
Infiltrating the Airship is a choice-based Henry Stickmin adventure where you infiltrate the Toppat Clan’s airship, test strange options, find four endings and uncover dozens of unique fails.
Infiltrating the Airship is a point-and-click adventure game created by PuffballsUnited as part of the Henry Stickmin series. Henry is captured by the government and offered a way to clear his record by helping them deal with the Toppat Clan, a group operating from a large airship. From there, almost everything depends on the choices you make.
The fun comes from experimenting rather than trying to choose the perfect option immediately. Some decisions move the story forward, while many others trigger deliberately ridiculous failures. I found the game makes more sense when you stop treating every fail as a mistake. Seeing what happens after the wrong choice is a major part of the experience.

Henry’s Mission on the Airship
The story begins after Henry is captured by the government.
Instead of immediately punishing him for his earlier actions, they offer him a deal. Help bring down the Toppat Clan and his debt can be cleared.
That sends Henry toward the clan’s airship and creates the main setup for the game.
You are not controlling Henry through normal platform movement. Instead, the story repeatedly stops and gives you several options.
Choose one and see what happens.
Making Choices Is the Main Gameplay
Infiltrating the Airship works like an interactive cartoon.
At important moments, several objects, actions or plans appear on the screen.
You select one.
The game then shows the result.
Some choices continue the current route.
Others fail almost immediately.
That sounds simple, but the large number of possible outcomes gives the game much more replay value than a normal one-route story.
Innersloth describes the wider Henry Stickmin series as a choose-your-own-path experience where unsuccessful options are intentionally part of the entertainment rather than something players are expected to avoid completely.
Infiltrating the Airship Controls
The current browser controls are extremely simple.
Mouse: Move the pointer
Left Mouse Button: Choose an option or interact
Touchscreen: Tap the option you want
Poki confirms that the game uses mouse clicks for interaction and currently supports desktop, phone and tablet.
The MDN Pointer Events documentation explains how modern browsers can handle mouse and touchscreen input through a shared interaction model.
Because there are almost no traditional movement controls, the challenge comes from decisions rather than reaction speed.
Do Not Avoid Every Fail
Most games train you to treat failure as wasted progress.
Infiltrating the Airship does almost the opposite.
The original release contains 60 unique fails, and many include their own jokes, animations or references.
That means choosing something obviously strange can still be worthwhile.
If you only search for the successful route, you skip a large amount of the game’s actual content.
A better approach is to follow one path naturally, then return and test the options you ignored.
Four Main Endings
The original version includes four main endings.
Different decisions can move Henry toward different relationships with the government and the Toppat Clan.
The important part is that there is not one simple correct route followed by three meaningless alternatives.
Each ending changes how Henry’s story develops.
Those outcomes also become important later in the Henry Stickmin series because future games build on choices made in earlier episodes.
The Toppat Clan
The Toppat Clan is the main group Henry is sent to investigate.
PuffballsUnited’s original description presents them as international thieves who have repeatedly caused problems for the government.
Their airship becomes the main setting for the adventure.
As Henry moves deeper into it, the choices become increasingly strange and the story begins branching more heavily.
The clan later becomes an important part of the wider Henry Stickmin storyline rather than appearing only in this game.
Charles and the Government
Infiltrating the Airship also introduces characters and relationships that become important later.
One of the best-known is Charles Calvin, who works with the government and can help Henry during certain choices.
The wider Henry Stickmin Collection still highlights calling Charles as one of the series’ recognizable decision options.
That is one reason Airship is more important to the overall series than its simple click-based controls might suggest.
It establishes characters that continue into later episodes.
Exploring Different Routes
You do not need to restart the entire game manually every time a choice fails.
The structure is designed around trying alternatives.
When something goes wrong, return to the most recent decision and choose another option.
This makes experimentation fast.
I would complete one route first rather than constantly jumping between every possible branch.
Once you understand where that route ends, returning to earlier choices makes the differences between paths much easier to follow.
Fails Are Part of the Comedy
The Henry Stickmin series is known for turning bad choices into short comedy scenes.
Infiltrating the Airship expands that idea considerably compared with the earlier games.
PuffballsUnited said he spent 378 hours working on the game before releasing it in May 2013.
That larger development effort is visible in the number of alternative scenes.
Many choices exist because the result itself is the joke, even when the option clearly does not help Henry complete the mission.
How It Connects to Stealing the Diamond
Infiltrating the Airship follows Stealing the Diamond.
PuffballsUnited originally described Airship as the sequel to Stealing the Diamond while it was still being developed.
The wider sequence runs through Henry’s previous escapes and crimes before moving into the government and Toppat storyline.
Players who enjoy stickman games with more direct character movement can also try Stickman Archero Fight, which uses arena action and equipment progression instead of story choices.
What Comes After Infiltrating the Airship
The next major game is Fleeing the Complex.
PuffballsUnited publicly described it as the sequel to Infiltrating the Airship while developing it in 2015.
The series later continued into The Henry Stickmin Collection, which remastered the previous adventures and added the final episode, Completing the Mission.
Innersloth says the collection contains six games, with the older episodes receiving newly remastered artwork and sound.
Original Version vs Remastered Version
There are two important versions of Infiltrating the Airship.
The 2013 original was released during the Flash browser era.
The later Henry Stickmin Collection remastered the older episodes with updated artwork and sound.
The story and familiar decisions remain closely connected, but presentation differs.
This distinction matters when comparing screenshots or guides because a page showing the remastered Collection may look noticeably different from the original browser game.
Who Created Infiltrating the Airship?
Infiltrating the Airship was created by Marcus Bromander, better known online as PuffballsUnited.
He created the Henry Stickmin series and later became a co-founder of Innersloth. His Newgrounds profile identifies him as responsible for Henry Stickmin and involved with Among Us.
The current Poki listing also credits PuffballsUnited as the developer.
The wider series is now officially represented by Innersloth through The Henry Stickmin Collection.
Original Release History
The release dates can be confusing because modern browser sites show much newer dates.
May 27, 2013: PuffballsUnited released the original Infiltrating the Airship on Newgrounds.
January 2020: Poki lists its modern browser edition as released.
August 2020: The Henry Stickmin Collection later brought a remastered edition into the complete commercial collection. Innersloth describes that package as remastering the previous Henry games and adding Completing the Mission.
December 2023: Poki currently lists this as its latest update for the browser version.
For the game’s actual history, May 27, 2013 is therefore the important original release date.
Playing on Phone and Tablet
The current Poki edition supports:
- Desktop
- Phone
- Tablet
Because gameplay mainly involves selecting options, it transfers naturally to touchscreen devices.
You do not need a virtual movement stick or several on-screen action buttons.
Tap an option and the story continues.
The W3C Pointer Events specification provides technical background on how web applications can support mouse, pen and touchscreen interactions.
Is Infiltrating the Airship Multiplayer?
No.
Infiltrating the Airship is a single-player story game.
There is no live competitive mode or local two-player mode.
The replay value comes from finding different branches, endings and failure scenes rather than competing against another person.
For another single-player game where experimenting with different approaches matters, Eugene’s Life uses physics puzzles and unusual movement instead of branching dialogue-style choices.
A Good Way to Play the First Time
I would avoid using a walkthrough immediately.
Choose whatever seems funniest or most logical.
See where it leads.
When a choice fails, try another.
Continue until you reach one ending.
Afterward, go back through the earlier decisions and search for the branches you missed.
That approach keeps the surprises intact while still letting you work toward all four endings and the many failure scenes.
Why Infiltrating the Airship Stands Out
The game is mechanically simple.
You click choices.
But underneath that simple interaction is a large branching structure.
There are:
- multiple routes
- four original endings
- 60 unique fails
- recurring characters
- Toppat Clan story development
- government story paths
- references and jokes
- connections to later Henry Stickmin games
That is why the game can take much longer to fully see than its basic controls suggest.

About Infiltrating the Airship
Infiltrating the Airship is one of the most important middle chapters in the Henry Stickmin series because it expands both the choice system and the larger story.
Henry’s mission against the Toppat Clan introduces major characters, several different routes and four endings that help shape what comes later.
The strongest part of the game is also its simplest idea: wrong answers are worth seeing.
With 60 original fails, choosing something ridiculous is often just as entertaining as finding the route that actually works.
