Retro Garage Browser Version
Retro Garage is a car mechanic simulator where you diagnose and repair classic cars from the 1950s to 1990s part by part. You then sell them, keep them or test them in races.
Retro Garage Browser Version puts you in charge of an old car workshop where wrecked classics come in and finished cars drive out. You check each car for damage, take parts off, repair or replace them, and put everything back together piece by piece. After that, you can sell the car, keep it in your collection or take it out on the track. The challenge is patience, since a car with one missing or broken part will not run right.

How A Car Goes From Wreck To Road Ready
Each job starts with finding out what is wrong. Some parts are rusty or broken, others are fine. You take off the bad parts, fix them or buy replacements, then fit them back. Body panels, engine parts and wheels all count, and the car only works properly when the whole set is in place.
The cars come from the 1950s to the 1990s, so the workshop is full of old-school shapes rather than modern hatchbacks. That era theme is where the “retro” in the name comes from.
Controls For The Workshop And The Track
- Mouse: pick parts, open menus and work on the car.
- W: accelerate.
- S: brake.
- A and D: steer left and right.
- R: shift up a gear.
- F: shift down a gear.
The gear keys matter more than most players expect. Staying in a low gear too long wastes speed on the straight, while shifting up too early makes the car slow off the line.
Selling, Collecting Or Racing Your Restored Cars
Once a car is done, you choose what to do with it. Selling brings money for the next project. Keeping it builds your personal collection of classics. Racing lets you test the car in drag races, on racing tracks and around ring circuits.
Selling early cars is usually the fastest way to grow the garage. The cash lets you take on bigger restorations sooner, and you can start collecting once money is less tight.
Repair Tips That Save Money
- Inspect the whole car before buying parts so you do not pay for the same fix twice.
- Repair parts you can save, and only buy new ones when a part is too far gone.
- Finish one car before starting another. A half-built car earns nothing.
- Test drive after a rebuild. It is the quickest way to find a part you forgot.
- In drag races, practice your shift timing on R before chasing better times.
Why Money Runs Out In The Early Garage
New players often run short of cash in the first hour. The usual cause is buying too many new parts. Every new part cuts into the profit you make when the car sells, so a car fixed with all new parts can earn far less than you hoped.
Think of each car as a small budget. Before you start, look at what it might sell for and how much work it needs. A car that needs a few repairs is a better first project than a total wreck, even if the wreck looks more exciting. Build up a cushion of money on easy jobs, then move on to the harder restorations once a bad deal will not empty your account.
Taking A Restored Car To The Track
Racing is the reward for a good rebuild. Drag races test straight-line speed and clean gear changes. Racing tracks and ring circuits ask more of your steering and braking. If a car feels slow, go back to the garage and check that every engine part is in good shape before blaming your driving.
Who Makes Retro Garage
Retro Garage – Car Mechanic is developed by WM Games LTD. The game was on phones first, with an iPhone version on the App Store and an Android version on Google Play. The browser release came to CrazyGames in September 2025, as shown on the official Retro Garage page on CrazyGames, which also links both mobile apps.
What The Browser Version Gives You
The browser version lets you play on a computer without installing anything. It runs in Chrome and other modern browsers using HTML5 and WebGL, the web graphics standard described by the Khronos Group WebGL page. That is why a 3D garage can work in a normal tab today, long after Flash games stopped running on December 31, 2020.
Because it is a 3D game, a weak laptop may stutter in busy scenes. Close extra tabs, keep hardware acceleration switched on in Chrome settings and use full screen for a cleaner view of the car. If you want to keep playing on the move, the official Android app is the better choice for a phone.
If you are on a school or work computer, follow the network rules there. This page does not cover ways around blocks or filters.
