Bubble Shooter Classic High Score Save
The classic bubble popping game. Aim the launcher, fire coloured bubbles at the cluster above, and pop groups of three or more of the same colour before the bubbles reach the bottom.
Line up the shot, bounce it off the wall and watch a whole cluster drop: that is the loop in Bubble Shooter Classic High Score Save, a browser take on one of the best-known puzzle formats ever made. Coloured bubbles hang from the top of the screen, and you fire one bubble at a time from a launcher at the bottom. Touch two or more bubbles of the same colour so the group reaches three, and they pop. Miss too often and new rows push the cluster down toward you, so every wasted shot matters.

How Popping And Dropping Works
Each shot sticks where it lands. If it connects with bubbles of the same colour and the group reaches three or more, the whole group pops. That alone scores points, but the real reward comes next: any bubbles that were only hanging on to the popped group lose their support and fall. Dropped bubbles usually score far more than popped ones, which is why good players aim at the bubbles holding a big cluster in place.
The pressure comes from the ceiling. In the classic version, after a number of missed shots a new row is added at the top and everything moves down. If the bubbles cross the line at the bottom, the game ends.
Controls For Mouse And Touch
- Move the mouse: aim the launcher. A guide line often shows the path.
- Left click: shoot the bubble.
- Tap or drag and release (touch): aim and fire on phones and tablets.
- Click the next bubble (in many versions): swap the current bubble with the next one.
Shooting Tips For Higher Scores
Bank Shots Off The Walls
The side walls bounce bubbles at the same angle they hit. Use them to reach gaps that are blocked from a straight shot. A single wall bounce opens up most of the board.
Aim For The Anchors, Not The Big Groups
Look for a small group that is holding up a big cluster underneath. Pop that anchor and the whole cluster drops. Ten falling bubbles beat three popped ones every time.
Keep The Colour Count Low
When a colour is down to its last few bubbles, clear it fully. Fewer colours on the board means the launcher has fewer colours to give you, so matching gets easier.
Use The Swap To Plan Ahead
If your version shows the next bubble, use it. If the current colour has no good spot, swap it and keep it for later.
Never Waste A Shot
Throwing a bubble anywhere to see what happens adds clutter and moves the next new row closer. If no match exists, place the bubble where it will help a future group.
How Your High Score Saves
This is a browser game, so the high score is stored in your browser, usually through local storage or a cookie for that website. That means:
- It stays when you close the tab: come back on the same browser and your best score is still there.
- It does not follow you: a different browser, device or user profile starts with a clean score.
- Clearing data wipes it: deleting cookies or site data for the game removes the saved score.
- Private windows forget it: incognito or private mode clears storage when you close the window.
If you care about your record, keep the same browser and avoid clearing data for the game site. A quick screenshot of your best score is the simplest backup.
Where Bubble Shooter Comes From
The bubble popping format began with Puzzle Bobble, also known as Bust-a-Move, released by Taito in 1994 as an arcade game. In 2002 the PC game Bubble Shooter from Absolutist made the idea famous on home computers, and its name became the common name for the whole style. Since then countless web and mobile versions have been made by many different studios.
Playing In A Browser With No Install
Classic Bubble Shooter was once a Flash game. Flash support ended on December 31, 2020, so today’s versions are built with HTML5, which runs in any modern browser including Chrome on a Chromebook. Nothing needs to be installed.
For smooth aiming, close extra tabs and use full screen (the game’s button or F11). A larger board makes bank shots easier to line up.
Is There An Android App
There is no single official app for this classic browser version, because Bubble Shooter is a whole style made by many developers. Google Play has plenty of bubble shooter games, so if you install one, use the official Play Store and check the developer, reviews and permissions first.
