How Flipping Gravity Works

Your character runs to the right without stopping. Press a key and gravity flips, sending you to the opposite surface. Press again and you drop back. You cannot jump, slow down or turn around, so the only skill is choosing the moment to flip. Flip too early and you hit a spike on the ceiling, too late and you fall into a gap below.

• Stay near the middle of the pack. Leading means you see hazards last.
• Watch where other runners flip. If they hit a spike, you learn where not to go.

The new big feature in G-Switch 4 is the built-in editor. You can create your own levels, share them with other players and rate the levels others have made. That means there is always a fresh course to try after you finish the main game.

When building a level, test it yourself several times. A level is fun when there is always a safe surface to flip to, even if the gap is tight.

Rating other players’ levels helps good courses rise to the top, so take a moment to rate the ones you enjoy. Playing levels made by others is also a quick way to pick up ideas for your own, from clever hazard patterns to sections that test fast double flips.

Two quick flips can carry you over a short hazard by sending you up and back down. Practise the timing on easy sections first, because a double flip pressed too fast can leave you on the wrong side.

Stay Calm When The Speed Picks Up

Panic leads to extra flips. If you are not sure, it is often safer to stay on the surface you are on for a split second longer and flip only when the gap is clear.

It is built with web technology that runs inside the browser, described on the HTML5 Wikipedia page, so it works on Chromebooks and phones.
