About Where’s My Perry?

Dig paths to guide water to Perry the Platypus in this 2012 Where's My Water spin-off.

Perry the Platypus needed water to reach his secret O.W.C.A. lair, and Disney Mobile turned that into a physics puzzler built on the hit Where’s My Water? formula. Creature Feep, the internal team behind Swampy’s game, developed Where’s My Perry? and Disney announced it at E3 2012. It came out on iOS on June 28, 2012 and on Android on July 18, 2012, for $0.99.

What Is Where’s My Perry?

Each level shows a cross-section of dirt, pipes and machinery. You drag your finger to dig channels, and water flows through them under real physics until it reaches the transport tube at Perry’s door. Run out of water, let it touch a hazard, or let it spill off the screen and the level restarts. Gnomes are hidden along the way, and collecting enough of them unlocks the next set of levels. The game shipped with 80 regular levels plus 11 bonus levels featuring Balloony, the balloon robot from the show.

Doofenshmirtz’s Inators Change Every Puzzle

Where Swampy’s game relied on ooze and algae, Perry’s version leans on Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s gadgets. Lasers and inators placed around a level can switch the state of your water as it passes through. A few of the effects players meet are:

  • Steam that rises instead of falls, so routes must run upward
  • Ice, which turns flowing water into solid chunks until it melts
  • Sludge that is harmful to Perry and has to be kept away
  • The Celebrate-inator, which bursts objects into confetti

Because one stream can change form several times on its way, later levels feel more like small machines than simple digging puzzles.

Missions, Modes And Show Voices In Where’s My Perry?

The main campaign is split into nine missions with titles such as An Agent I Can Trust and The Test Of A True Agent. Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, an extra mode, flips the idea by using evil sludge to turn household objects into his minions. Calling All Agents adds fellow O.W.C.A. agents Terry the Turtle, Peter the Panda and Pinky the Chihuahua. The whole game is voiced by the show’s own cast, including Dan Povenmire, Jeff “Swampy” Marsh and Dee Bradley Baker, which gave it a real Phineas and Ferb feel. Some missions were locked behind a $0.99 in-app purchase.

How Players And Critics Saw It

Critics rated it highly, with a Metacritic score of 84. Gamezebo gave it four and a half stars, and 148Apps praised it as close to Where’s My Water? in quality. Reviewers liked how the inators kept the formula fresh, though some felt it played safe by staying so close to its parent game. Parents tended to like it as a puzzle game that kids could enjoy without much reading.

Why Where’s My Perry? Is No Longer On Google Play

Disney took the game off the stores around December 2017, at a time when it was retiring much of its older mobile catalog. No detailed reason was given. The Play listing no longer exists, and in-app purchases stopped working after the shutdown. The Android build is from the early 2010s, so it may not install at all on phones that only run 64-bit apps, even for people who bought it.

Who Will Enjoy Where’s My Perry?

Phineas and Ferb fans and anyone who liked Swampy’s puzzles will find a lot here. Players chasing every gnome get the most out of it, since perfect runs need careful digging and some trial and error with each inator.
