About Zenonia 2: The Lost Memories
The Zenonia sequel with four heroes, a memory-wipe story, 98 quests and PvP battles
Rather than continue Regret’s story directly, Zenonia 2: The Lost Memories hands the adventure to four new heroes. Gamevil released it on the App Store in March 2010 and on the Android Market at the end of December 2010, priced at $4.99. Like the first game it is a pixel-art action RPG, though it swaps a single protagonist for a choice of four characters, each with a personal reason for joining the quest.
The Story Behind The Lost Memories
After the first game, four heroes guard the seal holding the evil dragon Ladon, while Regret has vanished. To restore peace, the gods use the Tree of Life to wipe everyone’s memories. The people of Deva Castle want those memories back, and keeping Ladon imprisoned depends on finding four gems. Your chosen hero begins locked in the castle dungeon, escapes, and is then pressed into working for Zavkiel to recover the gems in return for a wish. The setup ties to Zenonia’s world while giving newcomers a clean starting point.
Four Playable Heroes In Zenonia 2
This is the biggest change from the original, and it gives every class a backstory:
- Daza, a melee Warrior and the last member of the Minotaur tribe, strong and fast but lightly armored
- Ecne, a ranged Shooter searching for her older brother, with high evasion and attack power
- Morpice, a Magician raised by the mage Zealous, who spends SP on ranged spells
- Lu, a Paladin trying to save his grandfather, with high defense and healing magic
A ranged hero such as Ecne or Morpice usually makes the early dungeons easier for players new to the series. Lu suits anyone who prefers a slower, safer fight, whereas Daza rewards aggressive players who can dodge well.
Quests, Maps And PvP
Gamevil packed the sequel with content: 98 quests spread over 152 maps, three difficulty levels and a player-versus-player mode where you can test your build against other players’ characters. Combat still uses the virtual d-pad on the left and an action button on the right, with skill trees and leveling much like the first game. The PvP option was new to the series and gave dedicated players a reason to keep grinding after the story ended.
How Zenonia 2 Was Received
Critics liked it a great deal. Metacritic shows 84, IGN gave it 8.0, 148Apps called it an excellent traditional romp and Slide to Play rated it a must-have. Pocket Gamer was cooler at 7 out of 10, arguing that it changed too little from the first game. Fans who wanted more Zenonia were happy, while those hoping for a big step forward felt it played safe.
Can You Still Get Zenonia 2 On Android?
The paid Zenonia 2 and its ad-supported free edition are both long gone from the Android stores, and their Android 2.x era builds do not suit modern phones. Com2uS Holdings, the company Gamevil became, announced a Windows remaster for Steam in September 2026 following its remake of the first game, so the official way back to Zenonia 2 is likely to be on PC rather than on phones.
Zenonia 2 Versus The First Game
The first Zenonia has the stronger single story, thanks to Regret’s moral choices. Zenonia 2 trades that for variety, with four heroes, far more quests and PvP. Players who enjoy replaying RPGs with different classes often prefer the sequel for that reason.
