Cut the Rope Time Travel HTML5

ZeptoLab’s time travel spin-off of Cut the Rope. Cut ropes and use bubbles and air puffs to feed candy to both Om Nom and his ancestor, and collect three stars per level.

Description

Cut the Rope Time Travel HTML5 sends Om Nom, the little green candy lover from ZeptoLab, back through history to meet his ancestors. In every level you cut ropes, pop bubbles and time your moves so a swinging candy drops into a hungry mouth. The twist in this game is that there are usually two mouths to feed, Om Nom and one of his relatives, so a single clever cut is rarely enough. Grabbing all three stars on top of feeding both of them is where the real puzzle starts.

Why Two Hungry Mouths Change Every Puzzle

In the first Cut the Rope you only worried about one candy and one Om Nom. Time Travel adds an ancestor who waits somewhere else on the screen, and many levels give you two candies at once. Cutting the wrong rope first can send the second candy flying off screen while you are still solving the first. The trick is to plan the order of your cuts before you touch anything.

Stars sit along the paths the candy can take. You do not need stars to finish a level, but you need them to unlock later boxes and to say you truly solved the stage.

The Objects You Use To Steer The Candy

Ropes hold the candy and let it swing. Bubbles lift it upward until you pop them. Air puffs push it sideways, and spikes destroy it on contact. Each era adds its own new tool, so the game keeps teaching you something fresh instead of repeating the same ideas. Learning how each new tool behaves in a simple early level makes the harder levels in that era far easier.

Controls On Desktop And Touch

  • Click And Drag: swipe across a rope to cut it
  • Click: pop a bubble or trigger an object like an air puff
  • Swipe: on phones and tablets, swipe with a finger to cut
  • Restart Button: reset the level instantly when a plan goes wrong

Smart Tips For Getting Three Stars

  • Watch the swing before you cut. Cutting at the top of a swing throws the candy much further than cutting at the bottom.
  • Cut ropes in a long single swipe when two need to go at once. One stroke is faster than two separate clicks.
  • Pop bubbles a little early. The candy keeps some upward speed for a moment after the bubble bursts.
  • Feed the harder target first if both candies are free. The easy one can usually wait.
  • Use the restart button without guilt. Most three-star solutions come from trying the same idea with better timing.

The Eras Om Nom Visits

The game is split into boxes, and each box is a different period of history. Om Nom travels to the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, a pirate ship, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and the Stone Age. Each era has its own look, its own ancestor in a matching costume, and puzzle pieces that suit the setting. Earning stars opens new boxes, so a strong run in one era makes the next one easier to reach.

Who Makes Cut The Rope

Cut the Rope is made by ZeptoLab, the studio behind the whole series. The original Cut the Rope became one of the best known mobile puzzle games, and Time Travel followed as a spin-off, first appearing on iPhone and iPad and then on Android. ZeptoLab still updates the Android version of Time Travel. You can read about the series on the Cut the Rope Wikipedia page, and the studio’s other games are listed on the ZeptoLab official website.

What HTML5 Means For This Version

An HTML5 version runs straight in your browser using web technology, with no plugin and no install. The Cut the Rope series has a history here, since ZeptoLab released an official HTML5 version of the first Cut the Rope back in 2012 to show what browsers could do. HTML5 games draw with the browser’s Canvas or WebGL tools, so they work on Chromebooks, Windows, Mac and many tablets.

For a smooth game, keep your browser up to date and close heavy tabs. If you play at school or work, stick to that network’s rules about games.

Playing On Android Instead

If you want the full set of levels with saved progress, the official Android app from ZeptoLab is the best option. It uses touch controls, which suit the cutting action well, and keeps your stars tied to your device.

Pull the Pin Puzzle Unblocked uses a similar idea of removing one thing at the right moment so physics does the rest. Sand Balls Classic Web Version is another gravity puzzle where you clear a path for falling balls. For a sharper brain challenge, Little Alchemy 2 Cheats Version Online asks you to work out how ideas combine.
